News in from second year Morgan Harlow.
“This image featured in the Outdoor Fitness magazine was taken at the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon which I was able to get a media accreditation for back in July. The woman in charge of the event (Clair Duffin) was very appreciative of my photos as she worked with one of the sponsors of the event (Huub Events), especially this photo as it was in fact her son. A few months later Clair came back to me and informed me that the photo of her son would be featuring in the next issue of the magazine, which is now my first photograph to be published.”
It has just been a few weeks since our third year students handed in their final work for marking but they are all ready securing themselves exciting jobs and work experience.
We just received this email from 2017 graduate Katy Layton.
“A few weeks ago, I went for an interview for the position (over 150 people applied for the role) of editorial and digital assistant at Homes & Antiques magazine. As a result, I was offered the position and I have just completed my first full week in my new job. I am loving every moment of working with the magazine and alongside the fantastic team. I am constantly learning something new and I am looking forward to seeing where this opportunity can take me in the future. I have taken the first step into my dream career and it all started from completing a work experience with the magazine as part of the professional practice module in my second year!”
We would also like to congratulate Holly Davis on securing a post-production role within the Superdry team in Cheltenham, Shannon Dudley on securing a production role within a company in Oxford, Carly Tyrell who is currently on a European Tour with US band Linkin Park and Reece Pickering who assisted the photographer Gavin Bond photographing Liam Gallagher last week.
We will keep you informed of all the 2017 graduates success over the coming weeks.
This in from 2016 graduate Hollie Crawshaw.
“My project documenting numerous country shows across Gloucestershire is going to be released as a 128 page photo book on the 15th June this year! The publication has been really hard work, requiring a lot of time, determination and commitment but the experience has all been worth it. As well as spending the whole of last summer shooting it, I’ve spent days going though edits, writing content, organising files, completing promotional questionnaires, emailing, submitting author biographies and researching. The Professional Practice module completed on the Ed&Ad course really helped me to achieve this and I’m so excited to see my book on the shelves very soon! It is available to pre-order on Amazon now and I will be keeping everyone up to date with its release on my Twitter and Instagram (@HollieC_Photo). https://www.amazon.co.uk/Country-Shows-Gloucestershire-Hollie-Crawshaw/dp/1445674300/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496261019&sr=8-1&keywords=Country+Shows+of+Gloucestershire
